Durga Saptashati Parayana
Durga Saptashati is also known as Devi Mahatmyam, Chandee parayanam. It contains 700 Sanskrit Mantras (shlokas) from Markandeya purana. The Durga Saptashati is comprised of three Charitras, namely Prathama, Madhyama and Uttama in thirteen chapters. The Prathama Charitra represents the Goddess Mahakali or Durga. Madhyama Charitra represents Goddess Maha Lakshmi. and Uttama Charitra represents Maha Sarasvati.
Before chanting these these 700 mantras, Kavacha, Argala, Keelaka, Parayanam, yekadasha nyasam, anga nyasam karanyasam ratreesooktha parayanam, and navaksharee moolamantra japam also be done.
At the end of the Parayana Shodashopachara pooja with Ashtothara archana also performed.

- Anujna (Getting the blessings of elders and Veda pandits)

- Pooja, Avahanam and Pranapratishta (Pooja invoking /calling the divinity among the gods. hymns and mantra are recited to invite the deity to be a resident guest)
- Chandi Saptashatee Parayanam (Chanting Kavacha, argali, Keelaka, yekadasha nyasa, Navaksharee Mantra Japam, Ratreesooktha, charitatraya parayana, (700 hundred mantras) again navaksharee japam, devee sooktha, and rahasya traya parayanam.)
